The Supply Chain Sustainability Sr Analyst reports to the Senior Manager Supply Chain Sustainability and plays a critical role in driving both strategic and tactical procurement initiatives across multiple Vail Resorts business functions.
This individual will lead the development and execution of procurement processes and strategies, partnering closely with business stakeholders to enable supply chain operations for employee uniforms. Key responsibilities include demand planning, forecasting, inventory analytics, responsible product disposition, and supplier performance management. In addition, the role will oversee the energy category, collaborating with third-party partners on energy contracting, market insights, data and reporting, and identifying sustainability opportunities. This individual will also support supply chain risk management and lead programmatic initiatives related to the supply chain sustainability program.
This individual will manage strategic initiatives with high visibility, leveraging strong cross-functional collaboration and implementation of best-in-class supply chain activities. Job Responsibilities
Category Oversight
- Manage and optimize relationships with vendors
- Develop the category strategy across regions and business units with brand, cost, performance and sustainability goals
- Support applicable RFPs, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, and implementation planning
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure business unit needs are met
- Responsible for demand and inventory management, supplier fulfillment and product distribution performance for select categories in partnership with operational leads across the company
- Develop and support key metrics (Savings, Order Fulfillment, Supplier KPIs, Demand Management, Program Compliance) to ensure the needs of the business are met.
- Perform Supplier Relationship Management, ensuring we maintain a proper cadence for business activities including supplier business reviews, monthly/weekly operational syncs and internal supply chain reviews
- Accountable for identifying category opportunities, development and execution of category strategies, and implementation of sourcing and supply chain activities
- Support the supply chain sustainability program through data collection, reporting, and project tracking
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for sustainability KPIs
- Assist in supplier sustainability management, assessments and evaluations
- Support launch of new programs and coordinate cross-functionally between Procurement, Sustainability, and other stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to align sourcing decisions with sustainability goals
- Bachelor’s in business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sustainability or related field
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Sustainability or related fields
- Demonstrated experience managing up/down and across an organization to understand business needs, obtain information and drive initiatives forward
- Demonstrated project management experience and excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated vendor management skill
- Demonstrated data analysis skills and attention to detail
