About Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA)

Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is a Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment center serving adolescents and their families. With multiple locations across South Florida, AWA delivers evidence-based, family-centered care focused on trauma healing, emotional regulation, and creative expression. We are expanding our reach and seeking a passionate Clinical Director to lead our new site in the Boca Raton area.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet all of the following requirements to be considered:

  • Licensed mental health clinician in Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD)
  • Qualified Supervisor designation in Florida
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Experience working with adolescents in PHP and/or IOP levels of care
  • Experience opening or launching new behavioral health programs is strongly preferred

Position Summary

The Clinic Director is responsible for the full oversight of AWA's Coconut Creek location, ensuring clinical excellence, team development, operational compliance, and organizational growth. This is a high-impact leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for census, culture, quality, and outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

Business Performance Oversight

  • Drive and monitor key performance metrics including census, clinical engagement, documentation compliance, and client outcomes
  • Lead weekly performance meetings and collaborate with the executive team on clinic strategy, census growth, and quality improvement
  • Oversee staffing models, ensure budget alignment, and maintain real-time clinic performance dashboards

Full Team Leadership

  • Supervise all clinical and non-clinical team members, including therapists, BHTs, administrative staff, and facility support
  • Facilitate daily huddles, team meetings, 1:1 supervision, ongoing training, and team development initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, compassion, transparency, and collaboration across the clinic

Admissions & Community Outreach

  • Oversee the clinical assessment and intake process, ensuring a smooth transition from inquiry to admission
  • Participate in family consultations and support the Enrollment & Outreach team in promoting the clinic's visibility
  • Build and maintain strong referral relationships with schools, hospitals, private practices, and other community partners

Operational Oversight

  • Manage day-to-day clinic operations including program schedules, facility safety, documentation timelines, and client satisfaction
  • Ensure efficient communication between clinical, medical, administrative, and billing departments
  • Implement and maintain systems that reflect clinical excellence, organizational structure, and compliance integrity

Clinical Supervision, Compliance & Development

  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership for licensed staff, registered interns, and student trainees
  • Uphold and enforce full compliance with Joint Commission, AHCA, and DCF standards—ensuring audit readiness at all times
  • Lead therapist development through individualized feedback, documentation audits, case consultation, and clinical coaching
  • Address escalations, guide ethical decision-making, and promote continuous learning across the clinical team
