Position Overview
The Medical Device Tester II will be responsible for executing and supporting testing activities for medical device systems and firmware. This role involves manual, integration, and automated testing, with an emphasis on Python scripting, hardware interaction, and collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- Proficiency in Python development
- Experience performing manual, integration, and automated testing
- Hands-on experience with firmware/software integration
- Familiarity with hardware testing tools (e.g., oscilloscope, DAQ systems)
- Experience with defect reporting tools such as JIRA
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience working in regulated industries (medical, automotive, or defense)
- Proven ability to develop test plans, test cases, and protocols
- Experience developing or using automation frameworks such as Appium and Selenium
- Exposure to electromechanical or implantable medical devices
- Experience translating product requirements into comprehensive test coverage
