Saica Pack, US is currently hiring for a Baler Operator for 3rd Shift with the following qualifications:
Essential Job Functions
To carry out shredder, baler, loading trucks according to quality and safety procedures.
Main Tasks/functions/responsibilities
To comply with Quality, Safety, Environment and Food Control policies.
To keep work area clean and tidy.
To pick the waste from corrugator, converting and rework to the baler room.
To drive the forklift truck following the safety procedures.
To fill the waste management documents correctly.
Using the forklift, to load the bales to the trucks and communicate when a truck is full and ready to be picked up.
To check, identify and record in the computer system all of the parameters required by the system (wastage, units, etc.)
To know how the machine operates and the procedures to be followed so that tasks are carried out in an optimum manner.
To train people in the tasks that the job involves, as determined by Management.
To carry out the established product quality controls and comply with all applicable regulations.
To inform their immediate superior of any anomalies in relation to the product, machine, safety or methods.
To carry out the pre-determined preventive maintenance tasks in line with work instructions.
To be responsible for the correct use of the machine and tools.
To collaborate with their immediate superior in the tasks considered opportune.
To adhere to the work procedures and standards defined in the work instructions.

Physical Requirement: In addition to normal walking, hearing, and seeing, may frequently be required to grasp/hold tools and perform fine hand manipulation using QC and hand tools. There may be long periods of time spent standing at the production lines. May occasionally sit, twist, bend, squat, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, speak, smell, and lift up to 40 lbs during the course of the day.
Safety Requirement: May be required to wear common protective or safety equipment such as masks, safety shoes, glasses, gloves, or hearing protection depending on the manufacturing area per company policy.
Environmental Factors: Indoors, climate controlled. Some areas may have exposure to contaminant smells, and/or have distracting noise levels.
