Role Summary:

Under the direction of the AVP of Home Loan Operations, the Mortgage Disclosure Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the mortgage disclosure process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves the preparation, reviewing, delivery and auditing of disclosure documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. The Mortgage Disclosure Specialist works closely with the Compliance, Origination, Underwriting, Processing, and Closing teams to ensure all disclosures are accurate, compliant, and delivered withing required timeframes.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Generate, review, and deliver accurate and compliant mortgage disclosure documents within required regulatory timing requirements.
  • Review and track disclosure related system reports and alerts daily to ensure no pending items are missed. Generate and deliver change of circumstance re-disclosures promptly and accurately within required regulatory timing.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes under TRID, RESPA and TILA. Ensure all disclosures meet federal, state, investor, and internal standards. Identify and process re-disclosures when loan terms or allowable fees change.
  • Enter and verify disclosure data in the Loan Origination System (LOS). Ensure disclosures reflect correct fees, rates, and loan terms.
  • Participate in training and process improvement initiatives. Identify areas for improvement within the disclosure workflows, implement best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Act as a resource for team members on disclosure-related questions and issues
  • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits. Identify discrepancies, errors, or compliance risks and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as a back up to the Mortgage Lock Disclosure Desk Specialist
  • Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, while acting in the best interest of the credit union following all policies and procedures as expected by management. Lead by example by always displaying solid ethics and integrity.
  • Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.


About You:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when auditing documents and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and respond simultaneously to multiple tasks and requests.
  • Consistently display interpersonal skills to relate effectively and professionally to peers and all levels of management.
  • Ability to promote and participate in a cohesive team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex regulatory information to team members.
  • Display courtesy, tact, and diplomacy with current and potential members, peers, and staff.


Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mortgage disclosure management, compliance, or a similar role within the mortgage industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state mortgage disclosure regulations, including TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) and RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act).
  • Experience with Mortgage Cadence or Blue Sage Loan Origination System preferred.
  • Some travel is required to complete credit union training and/or fulfill duties.
  • Proficient with standard office equipment Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Full Salary Range:

Richland WA: $21.74- $$32.61

  • While our full pay range is listed, most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!"
