The Associate Project Controls Estimator role is responsible for estimating project’s capital budgets during development phases and then running the cost control, change management and risk assessment during a project’s execution phase.

You will report to Executive Project Controls.

This is a full-time role.

What You Will Do:


  • Under the immediate direction of a Senior Project or Principal Estimator, an Associate Project Estimator will participate in the:
  • Prepare estimates for facility, show, and rides throughout a project’s lifecycle
  • Review and incorporate historical cost data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports, into estimates.
  • Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of a project scope of work.
  • Maintain files for all working documents and data as backup to estimate figures.
  • Evaluate all design documentation and provide trend estimates and analyses against current EFC/Budget estimates during Design Phase.
  • Follow all personnel policies and company handbooks.
  • Perform work under direct guidance and guidance of more experienced staff.
  • PMCS: inputs cost information from project estimators.
  • Change Management: collects information for project estimators.
  • Estimates: provides takeoffs for project estimators.


Required Qualifications & Skills:


  • Minimum 2 years of estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost controls.
  • Interpret computerized cost data and systems.
  • Proficient in PC programs.
  • Experience working with all levels of management, and all project team members (project management, contractors, sub-contractors) to achieve team goals.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge specific to the Hospitality, themed entertainment, cruise line, and/or resort industry.
  • Preconstruction through implementation estimating experience.


Education:


  • Four-year degree in Construction Management/Engineering, Architecture or Engineering, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $87,100.00-$116,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
