As a Chemist I for Forrest Technical Coatings you’ll have the opportunity to play an integral part in the innovation and development of our world class coatings used by customers worldwide. The Chemist I assists in the research and development of new products, as well as the maintenance and reformulation of current products using project management best practices. The Chemist I’s portfolio of projects are typically of low to moderate complexity. Communicates frequently with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, raw material suppliers and customers to ensure that the product meets consumer and industry expectations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field. Previous experience in technical coatings in a research and development laboratory preferred. Solid technical skills a must. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently required. Must have strong organizational, verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization. Working knowledge of various testing instruments and methods required. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes with ability to scale up processes to production preferred.
