Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Facility’s quality assurance program for the Nursing Department.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator.
• Make daily rounds of the Nursing Department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Review complaints and grievances made or filed by department personnel, residents or family members and ensure appropriate reports are made.
  
  
  

Qualification And Requirements

• Possess a current license and registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• A minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing in Long Term Care with managerial experience
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
