ADJUNCT – ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESOL):
Teach integrated beginning to advanced ESOL classes in reading, grammar, pronunciation, conversation and composition.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s in English with 18 graduate hours in teaching English as a Second Language.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Expertise in creative instructional methodologies.
Knowledge of current technology in instructional settings.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to establish rapport with students and motivate student learning. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
Full-time teaching experience in high school or post secondary ESOL.
Experience teaching non-traditional and diverse populations.
Ability to teach multi-level students in one class.
