Job Specifications

Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for a dedicated team member to provide essential administrative support to the Fire Department's HR Liaison and play a key role in ensuring an efficient, employee-centered HR operation.

What You'll Do

  • Support the department's HR Administrator with a wide range of HR functions and initiatives.
  • Coordinate correspondence, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
  • Monitor workers' compensation and FMLA documentation, ensuring completeness and timely communication with employees.
  • Maintain employee profiles in the evaluation system and track timely submission of performance evaluations in PeopleSoft.
  • Assist employees with HR inquiries, reports, and document uploads to the records management system.
  • Execute special projects and HR initiatives as assigned to support the department's goals.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a degree accepted in the field in which the vacancy exists

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED; and
  • Four (4) years of staff or administrative experience

Salary Range

$21.6689 to $58.7999/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $29.9764/hour.

Driver's License Requirements

At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required for any of the designated positions allocated to this class.
