A leading global manufacturer of specialty chemical solutions is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to oversee operations at its Northeast U.S. production facility. This organization is known for its innovative approach to product development and customer-centric solutions, offering a broad portfolio of adhesives, coatings, and curing technologies supported by advanced equipment systems.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end adhesive manufacturing processes, from reactor operations to chemical mixing and filling, ensuring alignment of schedules, labor, materials, and process controls.
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations including PSM, OSHA, ISO 9001, and site-specific standards.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies to drive process optimization and reduce waste.
- Oversee operational budgets and recommend capital investments to enhance reliability, efficiency, and capacity.
- Maintain equipment reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Enforce rigorous quality control procedures and support investigations and corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Promote alignment across departments through standardized practices and effective communication.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in chemical manufacturing, including 5+ years managing multi-functional teams.
- Strong expertise in chemical processes, unit operations, and process control systems.
- Proven success in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM initiatives.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE-E1 preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skilled in budget management and capital project planning.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
