The Recruiting Screening Specialist / Career Coordinator plays a critical role in the initial screening process of applicants, ensuring that we identify the best-fit individuals for our salon positions, mainly Cosmetologists.
The Screener Specialist / Career Coordinator is primarily responsible for reviewing resumes and applications, contact each applicant, coordinate, schedule and conduct phone assessments on a daily basis. Evaluate candidate qualifications and suitability.

Requirements
Work Experience
1-3 years' experience in a related role or field
Proven experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a similar role required
Skill And/Or Required Licensing/Certification
Licensed Cosmetologist or Cosmetology Instructor preferred (or similar experience)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively screen candidates over the phone or on Zoom.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze resumes and job applications.
Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems or other recruitment software.
Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of candidates and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Leadership Responsibilities
Follows through with customer inquiries, requests and complaints. Forwards difficult and non-routine inquiries or requests to appropriate level for resolution.
WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.

- May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.

- Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.
- Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval.
- Information sharing - gives and receives information such as options, technical direction, instructions and reporting results.
- Interactions are mostly with applicants, Field Leaders and coworkers in own and other departments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Source for the best candidates to generate a high-quality pipeline for our current and future salons
- Partner with Regional Leaders and District Leaders to understand talent needs and priority positions.
- Conduct daily phone screens and interviews to determine qualified applicants.
- Coordinate interviews and interview schedule for applicants.
- Engage in social media to build campaigns, market roles, and attract passive and active candidates to build a network.
- Deliver an ongoing stream of new PS Professionals candidates for PS Salon and Spa.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment and retention process, working within the current applicant systems.
- Maintain compliance with all local rules and regulations related to hiring and recruiting, by utilizing tools/guides provided. Must work closely with HR.
