Job Overview
The Production & Supply Planner plays a critical role in aligning production capabilities with customer demand. This role is responsible for developing and executing production plans to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, while also managing customer supply planning to guarantee timely and accurate product delivery. The planner acts as a key interface between manufacturing, value chain managers, customer order management, and logistics to balance supply and demand across the value chain.
Main Responsibilities
Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain production plans within a 36-month horizon based on demand forecasts, material availability, and capacity constraints to drive accurate supply requirements
- Coordinate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure schedule adherence and resolve production bottlenecks.
- SAP System Execution – Perform work order management and data maintenance to ensure SAP accuracy and functionality.
- Support new product introductions and engineering changes by integrating them into production schedules.
- Translate customer demand into supply plans that ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with customer service and logistics teams to manage order fulfillment and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure alignment with customer requirements and service level agreements.
- Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders regarding supply risks, delays, or changes.
- Work closely with procurement, value chain managers, global demand planning, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment.
- Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes and contribute to supply and production planning decisions.
- Serve as a liaison between production and customer-facing teams to ensure transparency and responsiveness.
- Track KPI such as schedule adherence, customer service levels, and inventory accuracy.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and responsiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in production and customer supply planning in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficient in SAP ERP systems (PP/MM modules) with a strong understanding of master data, work orders, and reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of MRP, capacity planning, and customer fulfillment processes.
- Involvement in cross-functional collaboration and S&OP processes, including communication with global stakeholders and reporting KPIs.
- APICS/CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Familiarity with S&OP and customer collaboration platforms.
