About Us
Our Safe Space is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit based right here in Tucson. We host free in person and online workshops, book clubs, and community programs that help people—especially women and LGBTQ+ folks—build confidence, make new connections, and rediscover their spark.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking Tucson-based board members who care about community, inclusion, and personal growth. You don’t have to be a nonprofit expert—just someone who believes in what we’re doing and wants to help shape what comes next.
What You’ll Do
A chance to make a visible difference in your local community while working alongside a supportive, creative, and purpose-driven team. Together, we’re helping people find confidence, connection, and belonging—one workshop, one conversation, one spark at a time.
                    - Free Classes From technology and job skills to arts and wellness, our classes are designed to empower and inspire. We offer both in-person and online sessions to accommodate all learners.
 - Inclusive Community We are committed to creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe to explore new interests and connect with others. Our programs are open to all.
 - Supportive Environment Our dedicated volunteers and staff are passionate about education and are here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're teaching, learning, or simply getting involved, you'll find a supportive community.

- Live in the Tucson area and love community-driven projects
 - Bring curiosity, kindness, and a collaborative spirit
 - Appreciate small nonprofits that dream big and stay grounded
 - Enjoy the mix of heart, humor, and hands-on teamwork
