What You Will Be Doing

• Delivering adaptive reading workshops building phonics, comprehension, and fluency skills
• Designing personalized motivational sessions using gamified literacy milestones
• Analyzing student progress data to refine instruction and surface actionable insights
• Collaborating with engineers to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools based on classroom results
• Developing scalable, AI-enhanced content that enables early elementary students to achieve grade-level proficiency

• Creating generic lesson plans without data-driven insights
• Working in isolation without cross-departmental collaboration
• Relying solely on traditional teaching methods without leveraging technology
  
  

Literacy Specialist Key Responsibilities

Pioneering a transformative literacy program that elevates reading proficiency across our campuses nationwide.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
• Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
• Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; Plano, TX; or Dorado, Puerto Rico.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
