Part-Time Commercial Licensed Driver at Platform Science

About the Role

We are looking for a Part-Time Commercial Driver to operate commercial vehicles (tractors only) for test driving hardware and SW with test Engineering supervision. This role requires a Class B license with an air brake endorsement and a valid medical certificate. Our ideal candidate will also possess light mechanical skills, including the ability to remove dash panels and plug/unplug harness connections.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operating commercial tractor safely and efficiently. Approx 15 hours weekly, middle of the week.
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintaining accurate logs and records.
• Performing light mechanical tasks such as removing dash panels and connecting/disconnecting harness connections.
• Adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.

Education and Experience

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an air brake endorsement.
• Valid medical certificate.
• Proven experience as a commercial driver.
• Light mechanical skills, including experience with dash panels and harness connections.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Excellent driving record.
• Part-time hours only.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• This position is in Minnetonka, MN and must report into the office on the work days assigned.
