OR/PACU RN (Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri) at Shady Grove Fertility

We are looking for an experienced OR or PACU RN to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in Rockville, MD. The schedule is: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10 hour shifts. Start time ranges from 5:45 am - 7 am. Pay Range $38-46/hour

How You'll Contribute

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the ASC RN is responsible for:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education
  
  

What You'll Bring

The skills and education we need are:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
