Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining productivity standards while performing hands-on diagnostic and repair work.

This position is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining productivity standards while performing hands-on diagnostic and repair work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct shop technicians to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company quality standards.
- Perform diagnostic procedures, test drives, and final quality inspections on completed repairs.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to less experienced technicians.
- Assign repair orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and communicate effectively with service advisors and management.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the service department.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy truck repair; International truck experience preferred but not required.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent mechanical and diagnostic capabilities.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - Class A or B required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
