Monitor Tech- Full Time - Days at Lake Charles Memorial Health System

Job Summary

We are seeking a Monitor Tech to join our healthcare team. The Monitor Tech will be responsible for observing patients' heart rhythms, documenting ECG patterns, and notifying the nursing staff of any irregularities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Previous experience as a Monitor Tech or in a related role preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
  
  

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document patients' heart rhythms
• Recognize and report any abnormalities or changes in ECG patterns
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patients' conditions
• Ensure monitoring equipment is functioning properly
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures a plus
