Your Role and Impact
Under general supervision, the Product Repair Technician is responsible for testing, diagnosing, and performing technical repairs on company products to ensure they meet established performance standards. The Technician aims to optimize repair efficiency while upholding ViewSonic’s commitment to quality and reliability. This role also includes maintaining the tools and equipment necessary for accurate measurement and effective product repair.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Inspects and analyzes video characteristics of defective returned products to identify sources of malfunction.
- Tests monitors, interprets results and performs necessary troubleshooting techniques to mechanical, electrical units and/or controls to diagnose defects or malfunctions.
- Performs electronic adjustments based on diagnostic findings.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts and makes necessary adjustments to equipment or machines using hand tools
- Repairs or replaces defective components and performs precise adjustments to equipment or machinery using appropriate hand tools.
- Updates product firmware as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Performs final monitor testing to verify the integrity and effectiveness of completed repairs.
- Evaluates product compliance against established vendor and internal specifications to ensure quality standards are met.
- Documents product performance and repair outcomes accurately.
- Maintains laboratory equipment and ensures a clean, organized work environment.
- Handles product unpacking, cleaning, repackaging, and double-boxing for secure shipping.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
- May be required to conduct onsite repairs or service calls.
Your Profile
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on troubleshooting experience in a repair depot or similar technical environment
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ are highly desirable
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing a variety of electronic devices, including computer displays, projectors, and related equipment
- Understanding of technical terminology and specifications related to display technologies
- Proficient in computer usage, with the ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and specifications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment & Requirements
- Office Presence: Full-time in office, 5 days per week
- Environment: Works in a large, open, well-ventilated warehouse. May be subject to some variations in temperature, normally not to the extreme.
- Physical Effort: On a regular basis lifts 50 pounds without assistance. On occasion lifts 70 to 90 pounds with assistance.
- Hazards: Negligible, little or no exposure to hazards
