About The Role

  • We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize the core cloud infrastructure that powers the SmartSuite platform. This role is key to ensuring our development teams can deliver features rapidly and reliably, while guaranteeing that our services remain scalable, secure, and resilient.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Own and improve our CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of microservices and applications.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform health, availability, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues, optimize application performance, and define deployment best practices.
  • Manage AWS IAM policies, security groups, and other cloud-native security controls to maintain a secure environment.
  • Support and maintain core platform services, including container orchestration (ECS) and messaging systems (SQS, Kafka).
  • Proactively identify opportunities for platform optimization, scalability improvements, and cloud cost management.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure role.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with core AWS services (ECS, Lambda, VPC, S3, IAM, SQS, CloudWatch).
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (ECS).
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or GoLang).
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on enabling development teams.
