Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and technology-focused Senior Sales Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in our sales process. The main role is engaging with customers, understanding their applications, and proposing our products where they fit.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering discipline, and 5+ years recent experience in sales engineering or technical customer-facing roles. This individual will contribute to product definition and the creation of technical collateral.

Customer Engagement

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering discipline, and 5+ years recent experience in sales engineering or technical customer-facing roles. This individual will contribute to product definition and the creation of technical collateral.
Responsibilities And Duties
Customer Engagement
- Participate in customer meetings and technical calls to gather application requirements and understand system needs.
- Provide expert responses to customer technical inquiries and recommend product solutions aligned with application goals and value propositions.
- Apply deep knowledge of motion control systems and motor control technologies, including permanent magnet and stepper motors.
- Support the specification and selection of motors and motor controllers for space and high-reliability applications.
- Demonstrate understanding of power conversion and energy storage technologies relevant to aerospace and space systems.
- Leverage familiarity with satellite systems, launch vehicles, rovers, and space robotics in customer and product support.
- Support and interpret qualification and acceptance testing procedures such as thermal cycling, thermal vacuum testing, vibration, and EMI/EMC.
- Apply knowledge of mission-critical reliability requirements, including fault tolerance, redundancy, and life cycle considerations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (NASA, ESA, ECSS, MIL-STD, IPC) and environmental testing protocols.
- Understand and apply principles related to space-grade components, including radiation-hardened electronics and derating practices.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including datasheets, user manuals, application notes, white papers, and product usage videos.
- Contribute to proposal development by preparing technical content and solution overviews.
- Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to influence product roadmaps and future designs.
- Provide structured feedback from customer interactions to inform product development and enhancements.
- Represent the company at trade shows, technical conferences, and industry events.
- Occasionally travel (up to 6 weeks per year) to customer sites for in-depth technical discussions and support activities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical customer-facing roles.
- Proven expertise in motor control, power conversion, and motion systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- A hands-on, 'get it done' attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Creativity and self-motivation to solve unique and complex technical problems
- Desire to lead teams and be promoted to higher levels of responsibility a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 7, Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent oral and written English skills
