About The Role


As a CBRE Health, Safety, and Environment Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Environment Health and Safety function, contributing to the management of comprehensive programs and procedures. Your primary focus will be assisting in the oversight of environmental health and safety initiatives tailored to a specific account or market area, in this case, a data center in Gallatin, TN. This first-shift position requires a proactive approach to ensuring the well-being of employees and the surrounding community.

Your responsibilities will encompass contributing to organizational programs and procedures designed to protect employees and the surrounding community. This includes actively participating in the implementation and maintenance of safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and promoting a culture of safety within the data center environment. This role is crucial in upholding CBRE's commitment to environmental health and safety standards.

What You’ll Do


  • Identify programs meeting regulatory and client needs, ensuring suitability through evaluation and recommending necessary changes.
  • Maintain and update account-specific plans, playbooks, and procedures, ensuring they are current, complete, and implemented.
  • Serve as the primary Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) resource for staff and internal clients.
  • Find opportunities to reduce costs while improving the quality of services.
  • Apply advanced knowledge and innovative solutions to address complex assignments.
  • Coach others, sharing in-depth knowledge and best practices across multiple related areas.
  • Lead by example, model company values, build consensus, and influence others to reach agreements.
  • Explain complex or sensitive information, working within established guidelines and policies to impact a range of activities.

What You’ll Need


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Certifications as required by local government.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
