About The Role
The Paralegal at Michigan Accident Attorneys plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys in the personal injury practice area. This position involves working closely with attorneys, clients, and various legal professionals to ensure the efficient delivery of legal services. The paralegal will be responsible for assisting with case management, document preparation, client communication, and other administrative tasks to facilitate the successful resolution of personal injury cases. This position offers a great deal of independence, flexibility for personal styles, and responsibility over case files. What You'll Do
- Case Management: Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Review and organize medical records, police reports, insurance documents, and other relevant case materials for evidence collection.
- Conduct legal research as necessary to support case strategies and arguments.
- Liaison with insurance companies and providers
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Coordinate client intake and assist in gathering relevant information for case evaluation.
- Obtain and organize client authorizations and other necessary documentation.
- Assist attorneys with scheduling appointments, depositions, and court appearances.
- Provide administrative support during trials, including managing exhibits and assisting with courtroom technology.
- Assist in preparing trial binders, exhibits, and other materials for court proceedings.
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution preferred.
- Previous experience working as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm or related field
- Strong research and writing skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Problem-Solving and Collaborative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer software
- $70k- $90k
- Hybrid with 1-2 days a week in our Troy, MI office
