  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience in program management, event management, or event operations within an organization.
  • Experience in vendor and agency management, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
  • Experience leading and managing, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a technology or cloud computing environment, with an understanding of large scale B2B event needs with an emphasis on audience development and associated communications.
  • Experience with advanced event technology platforms and systems (e.g., registration software, live streaming platforms).
  • Experience with data analysis, dashboarding, and measuring event ROI with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing, dynamic environment, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies and process improvements and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills, with influencing executive stakeholders and articulating information.

About the jobAs an Senior Event Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless planning, execution, and optimization of Google Cloud's most complex and high-profile global events. You will own outcomes for significant event workstreams, driving efficiency, scalability, and excellence across all event-related processes. You will independently solve ambiguous challenges, develop long-term strategies for event production, and influence various stakeholders to achieve shared goals. You will act as a go-to expert leveraging data-driven insights to inform decisions and continuously improve our approach to creating impactful and memorable experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end strategic audience planning and execution across business and marketing for complex and high-stakes global events, ensuring meticulous attention to detail from concept to post-event analysis. Manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for event workstreams, identifying risks and driving their resolution.
  • Drive growth and execution for strategy, analytics, production infrastructure, related processes, and identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and internal partners, including contract negotiation to ensure alignment with project goals and Google's standards. Evaluate effectiveness and drive for process improvement.
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for event operations, using data to derive actionable insights, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for future events.
  • Implement and collaborate on best practices for audience development, technical implementation, and operational excellence.
