Summary/Purpose Of Position

Strategic Development & Innovation (SDI) Coordinator will coordinate and/or support select New Business Development activities, such as maintenance of the Idea Generation Program, screening new ideas, coordinating the execution of NDA’s, completing requisitions and check requests, tracking expenses, coordinating meetings (internal and external), and assisting with opportunity and market assessments as needed.

Essential Duties And Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Idea Generation Program including:
  • Lead direction of the program
  • Maintain internal databases (Excel and Access)
  • Conduct initial review process and data maintenance
  • Maintain ongoing communications and follow-up processes
  • Provide monthly tracking for significant events report
    • Coordinate and conduct calls with incoming opportunities to perform initial screening
    • Generate reports on competitive market shares in areas of interest
    • Review analyst reports, secondary research data and other sources to assist in opportunity scouting
    • Assist in assessments into new market spaces or target companies for strategic M&A
    • Support due diligence process by coordinating meetings, issuing meeting notes and tracking and prioritizing follow ups
  • Coordinate various SDI activities:
  • Create requisitions and check requests for work to be conducted by outside vendors
  • Track expenses against open purchase orders
  • Manage logistics for internal and external meetings or labs
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma, MBA a preferred
  • Relevant work experience is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Appropriate PC skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills

Key Relationships

Internal Relationships: All department members within SDI, Platform Leaders

External Relationships: Surgeons, Inventors, Customers
