We're Hiring: Outreach Professional!
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Outreach Professional to enhance our community engagement and outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build strong relationships within diverse communities.
Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Work Mode: Flexible office & remote
Role: Outreach Professional - must be a New Jersey resident (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
What You'll Do
Recruit contractors, engineers, consultants, manufacturers, and
distributors to participate in energy efficiency programs
Identify energy-saving project opportunities by working with building
owners, property managers, and facility engineers
Attend and represent the program at industry events, conferences,
and meetings
Deliver presentations to encourage program participation and project
development
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person meetings
Track and enter outreach activity into a CRM system
Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a positive
representative of the program
Generate and follow up on leads to help achieve energy savings
targets
Report on program metrics and key performance indicators as
Required
Collaborate with team members to support outreach and business
development goals
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Business or 3+ years of experience in sales,
account management, or a related field
Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them clearly to
various audiences
Proven success in generating and converting leads
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems effectively
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software
Willingness to travel within New Jersey up to 75% of the time
Valid driver’s license
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Comfortable speaking to and facilitating groups of community
stakeholders
Ability to perform fieldwork including standing, walking, climbing,
and kneeling for extended periods
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
Bilingual – Spanish/English
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
Desired Skills
Experience in the energy efficiency or utility industry
LEED or CEM certification
