Join our team as a Director of Clinical Reimbursement at Ryders Health Management, the corporate headquarters of our family-owned skilled nursing company, supporting a network of nursing and rehabilitation facilities across Connecticut.

In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee the clinical reimbursement process for our facilities, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and compliance with all federal and state regulations. You’ll collaborate closely with facility nursing, rehab, and administrative teams to support proper documentation, optimize reimbursement, and promote high-quality outcomes for the residents we serve.

Director of Clinical Reimbursement Duties

• Oversee clinical reimbursement operations across multiple facilities
• Ensure timely, accurate completion of MDS assessments in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and administrative teams to ensure documentation supports accurate coding and reimbursement
• Lead Utilization Review and Triple Check meetings across facilities
• Conduct audits and monitor documentation practices to ensure regulatory compliance
• Review potential admissions for clinical and reimbursement accuracy
• Track and analyze quality measures to support clinical improvement initiatives
• Provide education and mentorship to facility MDS Coordinators and clinical teams
• Stay current on changes in reimbursement regulations, coding standards, and best practices
  
  
  

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Connecticut
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• RAC-CT certification preferred
• 3+ years of MDS or clinical reimbursement experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
• Proficiency with MDS software, PointClickCare, and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
