Burial Beer Co is looking for a dynamic team member to join our Front of House Service team at our Forestry Camp Taproom location. A site draped in revivalist spirit, the Forestry Camp Taproom experience highlights curated cocktails, food offerings for our local community, and a carefully crafted list of wine and beer partners from around the world.

The Job

To succeed in this role, you are professional, friendly, and are willing to meet the highest standards of quality customer service. You thrive in a high volume service environment, and ensure that our guests receive great customer service and a memorable experience.

What You’ll Do

• Be knowledgeable about food and beverage menu offerings at Forestry Camp Taproom
• Welcome customers, determine beverage preferences, make thoughtful recommendations, take food and drink orders
• Be willing to shift between multiple jobs including bartending, serving, busing, and interacting with customers
• Handle transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons
• Mix cocktails and pour drinks
• Maintain a safe and clean work space
• Prepare basic syrup and prep tasks/duties for nightly service
• Stock all supplies as needed to ensure team preparedness and success up to and including participating on beer restocking and allocation on property
• Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures
• Adhering to all NC ABC Laws
• Opening and closing duties
• Maintains verbal communication with FOH and BOH in a productive and proactive manner
• Addresses complaints and translates them into actionable recovery
• Navigate high-volume shifts with a smile
• Be part of a team with a professional attitude while remaining flexible
• Be able to connect with people and provide them with the experience of a lifetime while they are at Forestry Camp Taproom
• Provide event support as needed
  
  

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

• 3+ years previous experience bartending in the craft beverage industry
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math and computer skills
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass a background check prior to employment
• Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling throughout the shift.
• Ability to navigate quickly and safely in crowded or confined spaces.
• Comfortable working in varying environments, including warm or cold conditions
• Ability to perform repetitive motions

• Compensation: $2.13/hr + tips
• Employment Type: Part Time, Hourly
