Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and manage supplier and service provider relationships.
- Negotiate favorable contracts ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain and update ERP (Workday) item master and related modules for accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with Buyers, Accounts Payable, end users, and Capital team to resolve system errors.
- Conduct cost savings analyses and present findings to leadership and committees.
- Support Value Analysis Committee with data-driven insights and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and healthcare accreditation standards.
- Track product recalls, expirations, and safety requirements.
- Partner with clinical and value analysis teams to drive cost efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Utilize supply chain software for forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
- Support system integration with EHR and clinical platforms.
- Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans for supply disruptions.
- Supervise and train supply chain staff to achieve performance goals.
- Establish KPIs and evaluate procurement and warehouse team performance.
- BA/BS from an accredited university with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
- Minimum five years’ experience in procurement operations, clinical value analysis, strategic sourcing, analytics and project management
- Supervisory Experience
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Possess working knowledge of GPO’s and contracts.
- Must understand and adhere to hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn and utilize facilities ERP system. Work Day experience a plus.
- Must be an organized, self-starter with problem solving skills and demonstrate flexibility and cooperation while working in a fast-paced, multi-task working environment.
- Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
