Full-Time, Non-Union, Exempt Position

$36.06 per hour, 40 hours per week

M-F, 8am-5pm

Basic Function Of Residential Program Manager

Provide supervision of emergency shelter program staff, services, clients and facility location. Build community relationships to support programming activities.

Responsibilities Of Residential Program Manager

  • Implement standards that are in compliance with all policies for emergency shelter programs.
  • Ensure a comprehensive service delivery system for working with individuals/families is implemented
  • Insure that all staff orientation and training are provided
  • Recommend hiring and discipline of all employees as appropriate
  • Represent the agency at community coalitions on housing and the Meriden/Middletown/Wallingford coordinated access network committee
  • Oversee the development and implementation of program budgets and ensure operations take place in a cost effective manner
  • Manage relationships with program funders
  • Build relationships with community partners to increase awareness of program activities and build capacity of programming
  • Insure health and safety through routine inspections and appropriate remedial action
  • Prepare routine and special reports

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM MANAGER:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field

Experience

  • Minimum three years experience in social service/helping profession plus two years as a supervisor.
  • Residential program experience required.
  • Evidence of maturity and experience necessary to assume responsibility and initiative for all aspects of program.
  • Experience working with offenders preferred.
