Job Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on Shipping and Receiving Lead to oversee all outgoing and incoming shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. This role works closely with production, scheduling, staging, and palletizing teams to make sure orders are prepared and shipped efficiently. You’ll collaborate with the Operations Manager and all functional areas of production to stay up to date on orders in progress. The ideal candidate thrives on the floor—actively involved in day-to-day operations rather than sitting behind a desk.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate carriers.
• Coordinates paperwork and documentation necessary for outgoing and incoming shipments.
• Loads and unloads carriers.
• Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison with Customer Service, Sales and Manufacturing departments.
• Resolves delivery problems.
• Packaging items securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Checking the details of orders, including the quantity and type of goods.
  
  

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Forklift trained and certified.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency and experience working computerized systems.
• Ability to lift items.
  
  

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to five years of experience in shipping warehouse environment.
