Job Description

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren – GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role:

The General Motors Design Asset Creation team is seeking a Global Product Specialist to join the team creating 2D and 3D Virtual assets and experiences for the Company. You will join a team of Visualization Designers, Modelers, and Material Experts with a large array of skills to achieve realistic 3D projects that show off our vision for General Motors.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Become the expert in the visuals of a brand and vehicle, tying in feedback from multiple sources of information
  • Help convey crucial information to Data Prep Specialists and Modeling Specialists regarding product specific details including configuration, material application and updates
  • Work closely with local and global Color, Materials and Finishes teams along with Program Managers, Marketing and studio Design leadership to understand configuration and expectations of the product
  • Coordinate and participate in Design and Marketing stakeholder reviews for Digital Twins and visual assets
  • Work with cross-functional teams within various software to achieve a uniform look
  • Seeks opportunities for innovation by collaborating with others on latest ideas and continuous improvement initiatives
  • On occasion, work may be required outside of normal business hours to accommodate multiple time zones.


Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 4+ years of experience facilitating the production of automotive Digital Twins and CGI
  • 4+ years of experience in project or program management
  • 2+ years of experience working in international markets
  • Ability to work agilely across all deliverables of the team including Marketing, Design, and In Vehicle deliverables including global teams
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred/equivalent industry related experience considered


What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Understanding of UNREAL Engine, VRED and Delta Gen
  • Knowledge in Teamcenter
