The Financial Analyst for St. Luke’s Physician Group (SLPG) is responsible for the accounting and monthly financial reporting for the physician group. This accountant is also responsible for preparing general ledger account reconciliations, analyzing expense and revenue variances and maintaining several expense and balance sheet reconciliations.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepares and assists in preparation of monthly financial statements for entities of SLHN
  • Maintains accuracy of the General Ledger and resulting financial statements
  • Utilize various information systems to develop analysis reporting
  • Perform financial and expense variance analysis of existing and proposed programs
  • Perform various internal audits
  • Assists is preparation of federal and other information & regulatory returns. Assists in preparation of information for Annual Financial and Uniform Guidance Audits
  • Responsible for the accurate recording of various network expense and/or balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assists in installation of new general ledger software and ensures software upgrades are applied to the general ledger
  • Assist in development of accounting policies and procedures

Physical And Sensory Requirements

Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 3 hours at a time. Continuously uses fingers and hands for typing, data entry, etc. Uses upper extremities to lift up to 30 pounds. Frequently stoops, bends, and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and telephone. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, and peripheral vision. Visual monotony when reading reports and viewing computer screen.

Education

Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.

Training And Experience

Minimum three years financial analysis and/or financial statement preparation experience preferred. Strong Excel skills required.
