Electrical Engineer - Internship at Tenova

The Tenova Inc. internship program is designed to "test the waters" of working in the engineering and steelmaking industry. You will spend your summer working in a specific department on meaningful projects, establishing an understanding of Tenova's culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset.

The program is a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program, you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at Tenova through valuable project work.

All internships last approximately 12 weeks. Your start/end date can vary based on your final exam schedule and needs. Internships are paid and designed to be a step towards joining Tenova with an entry-level position upon graduation.
You will be involved in supporting the Electrical EngineeringTeam in creating a generic and reusable technical description for specification and procurement of Motor Control Centers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Study multiple solutions used in past and present jobs.
* Analyze industry standards and regulations related to MCCs.
* Categorize specifications based on electrical, mechanical, and operational aspects.
* Combine all relevant information in a single comprehensive document to describe in detail all technical requirements to design an MCC.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and ensure alignment with the company's requirements.
* Publish the generic and reusable technical description for broader use.
* Establish a process for ongoing updates and improvements to the technical description.
* Encourage feedback from users and stakeholders for continuous refinement.

Profile description:

To become an intern with Tenova, there are a few key things you'll need to have/had:

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD is a plus.
