About The Immune Co.

We are on a mission to transform the way patients find answers and care for mold-related and chronic inflammatory conditions. We combine cutting-edge diagnostics, digital care delivery, and a compassionate patient-first approach.

About The Role

We’re seeking a Founding Designer, Brand & Product who can own and elevate every part of our design system, from our website to our care app to our growth assets. This is a role for a designer who sets the creative bar, understands patients deeply, and collaborates closely with PMs, engineering, clinical leadership, and growth. You’ll shape the emotional, functional, and visual experience that patients rely on as they navigate complex health issues.

What You'll Do

  • Brand & visual identity
    • Design clean, modern, intuitive experiences that feel delightful to users.
    • Build and scale MoldCo's visual language across product, web, and marketing.
    • Create a consistent system that communicates trust, clarity, and compassion.
    • Evolve the brand to help patients feel seen, supported, and guided.
  • Product & patient experience
    • Own end-to-end UI for our web experience, onboarding, lab flows, test results, care plans, and app.
    • Translate medically complex concepts into simple, intuitive, empathetic interfaces.
    • Collaborate tightly with PMs, engineering, and clinicians to ship fast without compromising craft.
    • Reduce cognitive load for symptomatic patients (fatigue, brain fog, overwhelm) through thoughtful interaction design.
  • Marketing & growth
    • Design high-performing ad assets, landing pages, and systems for user acquisition.
    • Ensure brand and product feel seamlessly connected across all patient touchpoints.
  • Design systems
    • Build and maintain a scalable design system across surfaces.
    • Define patterns, components, and frameworks that support rapid iteration.
    • Lay the groundwork for a future design team and help recruit top talent as we scale.
Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in product design, brand design, or a hybrid design role.
  • Experience working with Figma, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and experience working with AI-photogenerating tools.
  • A mindset that blends speed with intention. Patient experience matters, quality matters, clarity matters.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong craft and systems thinking across UX, UI, and visual identity.
  • Experience designing for consumer health, wellness, or emotionally sensitive user journeys.
  • Strong ability to translate complexity into clarity, especially in clinical or data-heavy contexts.
  • Comfort working end-to-end: research, flows, wireframes, UI, assets, prototyping, QA.
  • Ability to work in fast-moving environments where direction evolves quickly.
  • High user empathy, especially for patients navigating chronic symptoms.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with engineering, PMs, clinicians, and growth.

Sounds like you?

  • You care deeply about designing experiences that patients feel grateful for.
  • You love confronting your designs to the team and our patients and welcome feedback. You’re motivated by solving real, lived health problems with clarity and compassion.
  • You set a high bar for craft and push the team around you to do the same.
  • You move quickly, gather context fast, and propose solutions without waiting for instruction.
  • You’re energized by talking to users and translating needs into elegant design.
  • You can zoom out to brand and zoom in to component details without losing momentum.
  • You collaborate well across teams and don’t bring ego to the work.
  • You want to help build something that fundamentally improves patient lives and to do it from the ground floor.
