Liberty Dogs is a premier service dog training program whose goal is to empower Veterans with disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives - enhancing their well-being through the unconditional support that Liberty Service Dogs provides. Located on a 27-acre campus, it includes a training facility, dog housing, an administrative and multipurpose building, and accommodations for Veterans staying on campus to train with their Liberty Service Dogs.
Position Summary
As the organization prepares for its historic opening, we seek an experienced and visionary Director of Organizational Strategy & Culture, to shape the future of Liberty Dogs strategically, culturally, and operationally.
This role will be the architecture to direct a values-driven organization, modeling leadership across the enterprise, and guiding our critical path to opening and sustainable success. As a senior advisor to the Senior Director of HR, this Director will collaborate deeply across all executive functions and provide oversight to the Communications, Human Resources, and Business Operations functions to drive cohesion, innovation, and impact.

Organizational Readiness & Strategic Design
- Lead the development and execution of Liberty Dogs’ critical path to opening and beyond.
- Translate vision into strategic frameworks that support operational excellence and future scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment across all strategic initiatives.
- Be a steward of all metrics – ensuring that accurate relevant information is available for decision making and reporting.
- Define and implement a culture strategy rooted in Liberty Dogs’ mission, values, and purpose.
- Activate systems of storytelling, recognition, and feedback to foster identity and inclusion.
- Champion diversity, equity, and belonging as foundational pillars of organizational success.
- Design internal communications that inspire clarity, trust, and shared purpose.
- Shape leadership behaviors and culture modeling across all departments.
- Partner with fellow executives to co-create development pathways for high-potential leaders.
- Embed feedback loops, strategic planning cycles, and performance systems that support growth.
- Develop a resilient, adaptive organizational model that anticipates future needs.
- Work in partnership with:
- Director of HR to develop internal culture and organizational strategy and inform onboarding, development, and cultural alignment processes.
- Chief of Staff to connect strategic priorities with operational readiness.
- Facilitate strategic initiatives that require multi-departmental alignment and shared leadership.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and organizational design within mission-driven or high-growth environments.
- Experience advising Executive Leadership and driving cross-functional collaboration across operations, Marketing, HR, and Operations.
- Expertise in Culture development and leadership modeling, with a strong foundation in values-based and inclusive organizational practices.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate vision into action across diverse internal audiences.
- Demonstrated success in leading organizational transformation, especially during launch phases or periods of significant growth.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to integrate feedback, data, and insight into strategic recommendations.
- Reflective, emotionally intelligent leadership style, focused on fostering trust, adaptability, and continuous development across teams.

- This position is based at our Reno, NV campus
- The role will require some physical activity around dogs and in kennel or training areas, along with extended time at a computer.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 25 lbs) occasionally.
- Manual dexterity to operate computer hardware and peripherals.
