Job Title: Jr. Buyer (Contract Position)

Location: Elgin, IL

Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a Jr. Buyer to join our team for a 2-3 month contract position. The Jr. Buyer is responsible for Purchasing activities for the facility. This position will generate standard stock product purchase orders based on MRP messages.

Responsibilities

• Run system messages and generate stock product purchase orders.
• Expedite orders to ensure product is delivered on time.
• Maintain and update system inventory records.
• Work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain organized workspace.
  
  

Specific Knowledge

• Solid understanding of the material request process.
• Reporting measures to monitor the products in stock.
• Ensuring committed delivery dates and resolving delivery issues.
  
  

Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in a purchasing, planning, and/or warehouse order placement a plus. Experience in a machine manufacturing setting is preferred. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented a must. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with JD Edwards is highly preferred.

Education

High School Diploma required. Associates degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
