The Lead Registered Behavior Technician (Lead RBT) serves as the on-site clinical lead and operational point person for the Macon clinic. This role ensures that all therapeutic, administrative, and quality standards are met daily, supporting a seamless experience for clients, families, and staff. The Lead RBT plays a dual role: providing direct ABA therapy to clients while coordinating and supervising day-to-day clinic functions, ensuring smooth communication between the clinical and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Serve as the on-site lead for all RBTs, ensuring sessions follow treatment plans, data collection standards, and best practices.
- Provide modeling, coaching, and support to RBTs in implementing ABA programs with fidelity.
- Conduct staff observations and communicate performance feedback to the supervising BCBA.
- Assist with training new RBTs, onboarding procedures, and maintaining staff competency records.
- Support behavior plan updates, material preparation, and implementation of new programs as directed by the BCBA.
- Maintain a small direct caseload to stay clinically active and model exemplary service delivery.
- Coordinate the daily clinic schedule, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage for all sessions.
- Act as the first point of contact for on-site questions or issues from staff, parents, or visitors.
- Ensure the clinic environment is organized, clean, and properly stocked with materials and equipment.
- Oversee time clock compliance, session sign-ins, and daily operational reporting.
- Communicate with administrative and scheduling staff regarding attendance, cancellations, or changes.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols, including incident reporting, emergency procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Support family communication by facilitating updates, sharing progress notes, and reinforcing BCBA recommendations.
- Help organize family meetings, parent training sessions, and clinic events.
- Serve as an on-site liaison between the clinical team, office operations, and families.
- Foster a warm, professional, and supportive clinic atmosphere consistent with the company’s mission and values.
- Ensure accurate data collection and session documentation in the company’s EHR system.
- Support auditing and quality assurance reviews to maintain compliance with company, payer, and BACB standards.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and contribute to process enhancement.
- Maintain all active credentials and assist peers in ensuring required certifications (RBT, CPR, background checks) remain current.
- Current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the BACB.
- Minimum 2+ years of ABA experience; at least 1 year in a leadership or mentorship role preferred.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles, clinical documentation, and data integrity standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and lead a team with professionalism and empathy.
- Commitment to the mission of providing high-quality, compassionate ABA services to children and families.
- Clinic-based environment with occasional community or home visits as needed.
- Regular interaction with children, families, and staff.
- Must be able to engage in active play and work on the floor with clients.
