FMH Conveyors is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Quality Assurance Engineer & Lead ISO Auditor. This role will lead internal and external ISO audits, ensure compliance with ISO standards and manage the organization's document control system. The ideal candidate will ensure that all quality documentation is accurate, accessible, and audit ready while driving continuous improvement across all departments. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.

  • ISO Audits
    • Plan, schedule, and execute internal audits in accordance with ISO standards.
    • Lead external audit preparations and serve as primary liaison with certifying bodies.
    • Develop and maintain audit checklists, reports, and records
    • Train internal team on audit readiness and ISO compliance
    • Develop, apply and maintain quality systems, requirements, and standards for development and manufacturing products as well as data collection techniques and systems.
  • Document Control
    • Manage the lifecycle of controlled documents including creation, revision, approval, and archiving
    • Ensure all documentation complies with ISO and Company standards
    • Maintain version control and document traceability
    • Coordinate with department to update procedures and work instructions
    • Support regulatory and customers audits with accurate documentation
  • Develop corrective action form and process using the DMAIC method to identify root cause issue and determine the appropriate action.
  • Assist with manufacturing process instructions (standardized work) and inspection verification sheets.
  • Responsible for first article of inspection on new parts to ensure supplier quality is being met.
  • Participate in NPD process. Establish key quality deliverables with each development cycle and launch.
  • Serve as the primary quality assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
  • Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
  • Lead teams in technical process development, documentation, and certification.
  • Develop supplier quality requirements for inspection, detection, prevention, and certification.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles, six sigma methodology preferred.
  • Develop and implement FMEA
  • Report to management on quality issues, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing engineering (or STEM degree such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry with Quality experience.)
  • Certified ISO Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 required, other standards are a plus)
  • 3+ year of experience in ISO auditing and document control
  • Strong knowledge of document management systems
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, and assembly
  • Experience with quality standards in industrial equipment or mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with conveyor system component (rollers, belts, drives, controls, etc.) is a plus

Work Environment

The position is an office-based position with frequent visits to the manufacturing area. In the manufacturing area, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and may occasionally be exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud.

Physical Requirements

Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls.
