Description
New Wave Design (NWD) is seeking a skilled and experienced National Account Leader to join our team, responsible for developing and managing key strategic accounts across the Aerospace and Defense market nationally. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales professional with a track record of success in cultivating customer relationships, driving account growth, and delivering results in technically complex environments.
This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and leading capture activities from opportunity qualification through closure within a defined set of strategic accounts. The National Account Leader will work closely with engineering, program management, and executive leadership to align customer requirements with NWD’s embedded computing solutions, specifically FPGA-based hardware, sensor processing systems, and mission computing platforms.
The role will focus on large, national accounts and prime contractors, driving strategic pursuits and account development activities consistent with corporate goals and growth objectives. The position is supported by inside sales, engineering, operations, and corporate leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account success.
Salary Range: $141,000.00-$209,900.00

Requirements
- Identify, qualify, and manage business opportunities for NWD products and services across national aerospace and defense accounts.
- Lead national account strategy development and execution, including growth planning, capture strategy, and long-term relationship management.
- Engage directly with senior-level customer stakeholders including program managers, supply chain leaders, engineering leaders, and technical decision-makers.
- Develop and manage sales pipelines including accurate forecasted bookings, opportunity prioritization, capture status, and win probability.
- Increase NWD bookings and account penetration while maintaining satisfactory profit margins.
- Recommend and implement account growth strategies to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.
- Manage quoting and proposal activity in coordination with internal teams to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate across departments to align customer needs with NWD capabilities and ensure high-quality program execution.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of NWD products, FPGA-based embedded computing technology, and customer applications within mission-critical systems.
- Represent NWD at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as required.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Technical knowledge of embedded computing systems, FPGA technology, or digital signal processing is strongly desired.
- Demonstrated success managing complex accounts and long sales cycles with major defense primes and system integrators.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
- Excellent organizational and opportunity management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S.
- Candidate may be located anywhere within the United States with a preference for the central time zone.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds.
- Must have finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion
