The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Vice President, Finance - Studio Operations will serve as a strategic and operational finance leader supporting key physical production departments including Stages, Lighting, Grip, Arts, Transportation, and Special Events. This role will report to the CFO, Studio Operations and lead certain financial functions across Studio Operations. The VP role requires extensive interaction with the senior leadership team and the preparation of financial analysis and presentations to a wide spectrum of audiences. This role will oversee operational finance and support across multiple jurisdictions in the U.S. and the U.K., ensuring alignment with studio goals and production needs.

Job Description
The Vice President, Finance - Studio Operations will serve as a strategic and operational finance leader supporting key physical production departments including Stages, Lighting, Grip, Arts, Transportation, and Special Events. The VP role requires extensive interaction with the senior leadership team and the preparation of financial analysis and presentations to a wide spectrum of audiences. This role will oversee operational finance and support across multiple jurisdictions in the U.S. and the U.K., ensuring alignment with studio goals and production needs.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the CFO and SVP Production Operations to drive financial strategy and operational efficiency across studio operations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for all supported departments
- Own monthly and quarterly close processes through timely and accurate pacing updates, variance analyses, journal entries, expense accruals, allocations, and other necessary closing activities
- Own key financial deliverables across planning cycles (LRP, Budget, Quarterly Estimates) and related analysis for P&L, Capital and Balance Sheet
- Partner with FP&A to perform variance, trend, and KPI analysis
- Prepare monthly / quarterly presentations for senior executives and leaders including preparation of monthly operating review decks and supporting documents
- Manage headcount and C&B across the Productions Operations businesses, partnering closely with finance, HR, and operational leaders
- Partner with department heads to establish financial discipline and accountability
- Work with CFO and Production Operations finance leaders to find and implement efficiency opportunities.
- Manage and mentor a high-functioning team of approximately 4 staff
- Drive continuous process improvement, leveraging systems and analytics to enhance reporting, controls, and business insights
- Other ad hoc projects and requests as assigned

- 5+ years of supervisory experience that demonstrated leadership skills in leading a team of finance professionals
- Strong experience in developing and reporting business performance metrics
- Proven experience of financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting
- Strategic thinker who can be a credible thought leader in an experienced leadership team with an ability to move quickly to seize opportunities in a rapidly changing media landscape
- Must demonstrate integrity, excellent judgment and business acumen, and the ability to play a significant executive role in the business and provide thoughtful, strategic insights to senior leadership that translate into successful business strategies
- Previous experience in a media company, streaming service, or direct-to-consumer business
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field (MBA, CPA a plus)
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
