MRI Technologist - Twin Cities Orthopedics at Revo Health

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients.

This is a part-time position (0.2 FTE), working every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at our Woodbury location.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions

  • Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
  • Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
  • Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
  • Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
  • Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
  • May include IV contrast administration as needed
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
  • ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an MRI department required.

  • Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
  • A $4,000.00 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Essential Requirements

Ability to:

  • Work in a high magnetic field up to 1.5 Tesla.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
  • Complete job required training.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
  • Work in the clinic during business hours
  • Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel to other work locations, if required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
  • Frequent lift up to 35 lbs., occasional lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Push/pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. or persons in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 lbs.
  • Frequent patient positioning including bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, & reaching.
