Position Summary

The Strategic Account Operations Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for supporting any of CMM’s Top 20 biopharma customers by leading strategic, complex projects—whether within a single solution or spanning multiple solutions at CMM. Leveraging strong project management skills, the SPM orchestrates cross-functional teams, manages internal and external communications, and ensures project delivery through effective risk mitigation and escalation.

Success in this role requires a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and curiosity; the SPM must proactively seek out information, learn what they don’t know, and drive results. Relationship building is essential, as the SPM excels at managing connections with customers, internal departments, and third-party partners. Representing CoverMyMeds in an active and productive manner, the SPM strategically interacts and manages through influence across both the CoverMyMeds business unit and McKesson. The individual must be adept at managing contractual obligations, problem-solving client issues, and navigating the various functions of both the customer’s and CMM/McKesson’s organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • As assigned, oversee the full scope of strategic projects, which could include new service launches, integrations, migrations, and significant changes to existing programs.
  • In partnership with CMM teams, build and manage overall project timelines.
  • Facilitate collaboration among internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the right people are engaged to solve problems and drive projects to completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project escalations, communicating updates and risks to both client and CMM leadership.
  • Manage expectations, hold clients accountable to deadlines, and articulate the impact of missed milestones.
  • Provide regular project status updates to customer and CMM stakeholders
  • Partner with Account Operations Managers (AOMs) and other CMM teams to ensure seamless integration of project deliverables into existing programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, following best practices for customer engagement and program management.
  • Proactively identify risks, manage mitigation strategies, and escalate issues in a timely and articulate manner.

  • Results Orientation: Focused on achieving project outcomes and driving value for biopharma customers.
  • Contractual & Operational Acumen: Ability to manage contractual obligations and navigate complex operational environments.
  • CMM Product Subject Matter Expertise: Not required but preferred. Strong project management skills is the priority.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 plus years in a Project Management role preferably in Healthcare
  • PMP Certification a plus.
