You are a detail-oriented technical specialist who takes pride in developing accurate, reliable tools that ensure smooth gameplay and event operations. With strong collaboration skills, you work effectively with referees, volunteers, and software teams to deliver clear, consistent resources. Adaptable and thorough, you approach every challenge with Gracious Professionalism, helping create a positive experience for all participants.
This role has the ability to be a remote working arrangement for the right candidate.

As the Technical Resources Specialist, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FIRST LEGO League scoring and event management systems. Additionally, you will:

What You Will Do
As the Technical Resources Specialist, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FIRST LEGO League scoring and event management systems. Additionally, you will:
- Act as SME and scribe in recurring global head referee meetings
- Develop, test, and maintain game scoring materials
- Create, refine, and update gameplay support resources
- Contribute to gameplay video development and support quality assurance of game materials
- Provide feedback on game rules, roles, and assets, and report on scoring metrics to inform improvements
- Serve as a liaison to FIRST software development and IT departments
We are seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- BS/BA in related discipline and generally requires at least 2 years of directly related experience
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams, volunteers, and global stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with FIRST LEGO League and experience as a referee or judge preferred
- Flexibility to travel 5 - 10% depending on the time of the year
