Mathematical Development: Compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission, markups and selling price; ratio and proportion, and percentages. Calculate surface, volumes, weights, and measures.
Requirements
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by WCG, Inc. from time to time, is essential to be successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance/ tardies will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. To perform any combination of the following: calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage hotel cash handling, including daily cash counts, reconciliations, and deposits.
- Process accounts payable: code, verify, and post invoices accurately and timely.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
- Manage accounts receivable: post guest payments, apply group advance deposits, and ensure timely billing.
- Monitor and track group advance deposits and ensure proper posting.
- Lead or participate in weekly credit meetings, reviewing outstanding balances and credit issues.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by Manager.
- Compute and record numbers correctly.
- Follow procedures for keeping records.
- Perform work that is routine and detailed.
- Use eyes, hands, and fingers at the same time to enter figures in books and forms, or to operate a calculator or personal computer.
- Copy large quantities of numbers without error.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Requirements
- High School completion OR an equivalent level of education and experience, preferably in a hotel setting
- Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
- Experience with accounting software.
