Summary
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational excellence across all warehouse, inventory control, and logistics functions within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all materials, components, and finished goods are efficiently managed, stored, and delivered to support production and customer requirements. The Manager oversees warehouse operations, internal logistics, and inventory systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives that optimize efficiency, cost, and service levels. This position collaborates cross-functionally with production, procurement, planning, and supply chain teams to align material flow and warehouse performance with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
Base Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 is the projected base salary range and will be determined by the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
Closing Date: December 20th. While we expect to keep the position open through this date, the posting may be extended or closed early based on applicant volume and hiring needs.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Develop and execute the warehouse and logistics strategy in alignment with overall company objectives and production goals.
- Lead capacity planning, layout optimization, and warehouse expansion initiatives to support business growth.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Partner with supply chain and operations leadership to optimize inbound and outbound logistics processes.
- Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, kitting, picking, shipping, and internal material movements.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of material handling, inventory transactions, and line-side replenishment using lean principles (e.g., Kanban, JIT).
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Drive automation, digitalization, and process improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and visibility.
- Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to balance material availability, working capital, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and variance analyses; establish corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy above corporate targets.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SyteLine) for inventory tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to align material supply with production demand and minimize disruptions.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, inventory specialists, material handlers, and forklift operators.
- Establish clear performance goals, provide regular coaching, and lead professional development initiatives to build a high-performing warehouse team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Lead lean manufacturing and warehouse optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance material flow.
- Implement best practices for warehouse layout, slotting, and replenishment to support JIT and high-mix manufacturing environments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Champion cross-departmental improvement projects that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse, inventory management, or logistics roles within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing warehouse teams.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SyteLine).
- Proven ability to analyze data, manage KPIs, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety and compliance regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or related supply chain discipline preferred.
- Experience in warehouse layout design, automation, or WMS implementation.
- Familiarity with ISO or other quality management systems.
- Experience in SyteLine ERP system.
