As a Scheduler, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of our transportation services. You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling shipments, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients to guarantee the accurate and timely delivery of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule shipments to ensure efficient, on-time delivery.
- Assign routes and provide drivers with necessary instructions and updates.
- Track deliveries and resolve any delays or operational issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including delivery details and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of services.
- Provide clients with timely updates and address shipment-related inquiries.
- Manage driver schedules to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling operations.
- Comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent (education or training in logistics/supply chain is a plus).
- Prior experience in scheduling or logistics preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
