About The Job
We are seeking a solution-focused Environmental Data Manager with EQuIS experience and a strong background in database management and programming. In this role, you will:
- Lead and optimize data workflows for environmental projects using EQuIS and custom PostgreSQL systems.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform raw data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Drive innovation in data processing, analysis, and visualization to support client projects.
- This position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on database management in a dynamic consulting environment.
Requirements
As an Environmental Data Manager, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop and document ETL procedures for centralized databases.
- Manage data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, and loading processes.
- Design and implement database models and maintain scripts, queries, and stored procedures.
- Perform data analysis, statistical modeling, and trend evaluation.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet data requirements and deliver insights.
- Maintain rigorous quality control and documentation standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Advanced degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years of EQuIS experience (data loading, dashboard development, etc.).
- 5+ years in environmental data management, preferably in consulting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Experience with environmental data sets (field sampling, analytical chemistry, geospatial data, GIS).
- Programming skills in R or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with configuring EQuIS modules such as Collect, DQM, and SPM preferred.
