The hourly rate range for this position is $26.75 -$35.11. - Adjusts, maintains and tests boiler and air-conditioning machinery and mechanical, electrical or pneumatic control instruments and safety devices.
- Applies cost-effective measures in utilization of time and supplies.
- Available to the Director of Facilities for emergency response situations.
- Inspects and keeps mechanical plant and all related equipment rooms clean.
- Maintains logs of plant operations and records maintenance repairs or alterations to equipment.
- Maintains professional growth and development for job-related skills and techniques through educational programs, seminars, workshops, and experience on the job.
- Operates, inspects and performs minor maintenance repairs and alterations to air-conditioning machinery and emergency diesel powered electric generating equipment.
- Operates, maintains, inspects and makes minor repairs to boilers, motors, steam traps, expansion tanks, air compressors, supply and exhaust fans, pumps and valves, water heaters and related auxiliary equipment.
- Operates, maintains, inspects and performs maintenance repairs and mechanical alterations to manual and automatic gas and oil-fired high-pressure steam or high temperature hot water boilers.
- Performs any tasks as required for the efficient maintenance of the hospital.
- Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Quality Improvement Program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control and planning activities.
- Responsible for water treatment of boilers, softeners and cooling towers.
